Granted, it is not the most usual platform to promote international multi-sport games! But it is an imposing one: the 'Wu-Yi', a 17,000 ton supply vessel belonging to the Taiwan Navy's 'Dun-Mu' fleet, has been converted into the 'Ship of Peace', and into a floating exhibition on The World Games 2009. It is also a highly itinerant platform: over the coming months the fleet oiler will deliver Kaohsiung's message of world peace and sporting excellence to ports of call on all continents.

Ron Froehlich, the President of International World Games Association, visited the exhibition aboard the vessel on 19 February at Kaohsiung harbor, which just so happens to be the home port of the 'Ship of Peace'. President Froehlich was accompanied on his visit by the Kaohsiung Deputy Mayor, the CEO of the Kaohsiung Organizing Committee as well as the ship's Captain.
