Swiss watch maker Tissot will demonstrate its proven sports timing expertise as the official timekeeper of The 8th World Games in Kaohsiung City, TPE. Tissot has committed to ensure that the performance of the participants is accurately recorded as they contest for the coveted medals.

François Thiébaud, President of Tissot, explains the significance of the brand’s involvement in The World Games - “Partnering with major sports events underlines the dynamic nature of the brand and our values of precision and performance. The concept of The World Games perfectly reflects the Tissot commitment to making excellence accessible. We are extremely proud to bring our timekeeping know-how to this event, which is committed to safeguarding the diversity of sport at the highest international level.”

Tissot provides its timekeeping expertise to other top-level competitive events. Aside from The World Games, it is involved in eleven world and continental championships of motorcycle racing, cycling, fencing and ice hockey during 2009.

Altius: Anna Dogonadze, GER 15 Mar 2005
Anna Dogonadze won the bronze at The World Games 1997 Lahti in women’s individual trampoline for herself and her native Georgia. When trampoline premiered in the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Anna competed for Germany.
