The Kaohsiung Organizing Committee (KOC) has appointed Total Sports Asia (TSA) as its exclusive agent to handle international distribution of media rights  - excluding the national rights - of The World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung, TPE.

The 8th edition of The World Games will take place from 16 to 26 July  and will be staged over a period of 11 days. 5,000 athletes and officials from nearly 100 nations around the world will contest the coveted medals in 37 sports.

Over 56 hours of programming will be produced LIVE, including the Opening/Closing Ceremonies (in High Definition), Billiards, DanceSport, Gymnastics, Inline Speed Skating and selected matches of Rugby Sevens and Korfball.
Senior Vice President of Media at Total Sports Asia, Julian Jackson, said: “After distributing The World Games 2005, which went to a record number of countries, we believe that we can surpass that and make this the most watched World Games yet.”

Ms Ming-chun Hsu, the Marketing & PR Department executive officer of KOC, says: “TSA's experience from the previous edition is a great advantage for all of us. TSA knows the games' great potential and has excellent access to the world media market.'
