The Academic Sport Association of Israel (ASA) organised the traditional ASA Games from 8 to 10 March 2010 in Eilat (ISR). This year, the games included 14 different sports.

Upon invitation of Mr Arie Rosenzweig, the President of ASA, IWGA President Ron Froehlich attended the games.

The Opening Ceremony took place on Sunday, 7 March. More than 1,500 athletes from 25 universities and colleges competed in the event, among them students from neighbouring Jordania.

After the conclusion of the ASA Games, President Froehlich extended his stay in Israel to lecture at the Wingate Institute, the National Center for Physical Education and Sport, informing the General Secretaries of 30 National Sports Federations about the purpose and scope of The World Games.

Altius: Anna Dogonadze, GER 15 Mar 2005
Anna Dogonadze won the bronze at The World Games 1997 Lahti in women’s individual trampoline for herself and her native Georgia. When trampoline premiered in the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Anna competed for Germany.
