Ron Froehlich (71) will head the International World Games Association until 2014. 28 of its 32 member federations were present at the Annual General Meeting  and unanimously re-elected the American President for another four-year tenure. Ron Froehlich has been in office since 1992.

At the meeting in Dubai this Monday Lukas Hinder (Switzerland) of the International Dance Sport Federation was also unanimously re-elected as Treasurer of the IWGA. Further Executive Committee members are Max Bishop (Senior Vice President/UK), Tom Dielen (Vice President/Belgium), Dr. Rinalado Orlandi (Italy). José Perurena (Spain), President of the International Canoe Federation, was voted in as a new Executive Committee member. 

 

 

Secretary General Co Koren and Vice President Sue Harvey left the Executive Committee at their own request.  The members also amended the Statutes and decided to change the position of the General Secretary as a non-voting Executive Committee member into a full-time occupation. The position will be assigned with effect from 1 July 2010 per decision of the Executive Committee.

 

Co Koren is honored for his long and outstanding services as Secretary General for the IWGA.

Sue Harvey served on the Executive Board for eight years. She stepped down as Vice President.

Altius: Anna Dogonadze, GER 15 Mar 2005
Anna Dogonadze won the bronze at The World Games 1997 Lahti in women’s individual trampoline for herself and her native Georgia. When trampoline premiered in the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Anna competed for Germany.
