After eight years Sue Harvey left the Executive Committee of the International World Games Association (IWGA).

IWGA President Ron Froehlich bid farewell to the officer from Great Britain, who withdraws from the Executive Committee by her own decision, and thanked her for the services rendered to The World Games family so far. 'With her expertise and her passion for sport and athletes, Vice President Sue Harvey contributed to the positive development of The World Games in the new millennium.'

He pointed out that, as the former British champion in orienteering, she has always maintained an overview—also in complicated situations. Even in the future the IWGA will continue to rely on her knowledge and experience as a sports official.  Sue Harvey is Honorary President of the International Orienteering Federation. In the New Year Honors List 2010 Sue was awarded the MBE for services to Orienteering and to the communities of Doune and Deanston.
