The 'Saalbau' is a multi-functional hall where the three disciplines of billiards are contested during The World Games 2005: Carambole, Pool and Snooker. All of them are part of the official program. The Saalbau's capacity is 400.
It's appropriate that the billiards events are staged in Bottrop. The city is Germany’s capital when it comes to cue sports. World and European championships were held in the Saalbau in the past, and Bottrop is permanent home to the National Billiards Training Center.
